Resuscitation simulators
Recently, the following resuscitation simulators were delivered:
- training automatic external defibrillator - Saver One T AED Trainer Basic (A.M.I. Italia)
- mobile torso to practice CPR external defibrillation of the adult - S315.500-CPR+D Trainer (Gaumard)
- tosroto practice CPR external defibrillation of the adult with the computer evaluation - Ambu Defib Trainer (Ambu)
- torso to practice CPR of the newborn baby (up to 1 year of age) - Resusci Baby QCPR (Laerdal)
- torso to practice CPR of the child (between 1 year up to puberty) - Resusci Junior with Skillguide (Laerdal)
- mannikin for realistic simulation and training of airways during choking - Choking Charlie (Laerdal)
- whole-body mannikin for realistic simulation of wounds healing - Simon S311 CPR (Gaumard)
- model for the simulation of the airways stabilization ("intubation head") - AirSim Advance Bronchi (TruCorp)
- kit for the training of intraosseal administration of drugs and liquids - Adult B.I.G. (Waismed)
Simulators will be employed in the summer semester 2014/2015 - "Anaesthesiology and resuscitation" (4th year)

New arrival- ULTRASOUND

Meet the new members of our Department - three fully functional and working ultrasound machines donated as a kind gift from Unique Medical (http://uniquemedical.sk/).
Today, all the three machines were tested, they work perfect and we believe in their soon implementation into the educational process as the part of your medical education e.g. internal medicine, neurology, anaesthesiology etc. Feel free to stop by and make your own ultrasound scan !
Course of emergency birth

Our Victoria is getting busy and busy !
We just performed first big training of emergency births for the doctors and nurses from the Ruzinov hospital (supervised by Dr. Hodosy). The course was led by Dr. Zuzana Niznanska and Dr. Alexandra Kristufkova from the Antolska hospital in Petrzalka.
The scope of the course was to train experts for the situations e.g. sudden birth in the emergency car, at home, how to treat the mother after the unexpeced birth etc. Three scenarios were prepared in the theater-like style))))
Training at the length of five hours was superb, everyone liked it and we believe those of you who will use Victoria inthe future will apprecitate her big educational and professional potential. Looking forward to see you here in our Center in the summer semester !
